Why Tropical Vacations Are Relaxing

Taking a reasonable amount of time for oneself is very important in today’s busy life especially if one is part of a stressful work life or routine. Vacations help in reconnecting with oneself, self-discovery and becoming refreshed to meet the new challenges of life.

How Tropical Vacation is an Ideal Vacation?

The best vacations are the ones that help one release all the stresses of life and refresh them from within. For this purpose, tropical vacations are particularly known to be relaxing and refreshing.

Many people use tropical vacations as a remedy when they need good mental relaxation and physical health. Tropical vacations are ideal for relaxing and rejuvenating because of the following reasons:

A Complete Getaway Vacation:

Tropical vacation is a complete getaway vacation because it provides so much fun and relaxing moments while keeping you away from the stressful routine life. The beaches and islands, being far away from the busy areas, eliminate all the worries of the workplace or personal life.

Beautiful Natural Surroundings:

Tropical islands are famous for being beautiful holiday destinations. The blue sky, plentiful sunshine, clear sea water and exotic palm trees add to the beauty of tropical islands. None of these nature’s soothing elements, can be found in big cities or even in country areas. The tropical islands provide one with a peaceful spot far away from the car beeps, hoards of people and nuisance of traffic etc. There are no big buildings, renovations or construction work going around.

Serene Tropical Islands:

There are many holiday destinations that offer exciting and fun activities but none of them provide the serenity of a tropical island. Tropical vacations become a life time experience at the serene and exotic locations.

Nature’s Vitality:

The tropical locations make the best use of the nature’s vitality beams by providing facilities like relaxing spa, lodging with warm balconies and cosiness of sunrooms. One can take part in activities like sunbathing and get oneself energized with the nature’s vitality beams.

Relaxing Spa’s:

The massage experience at a tropical island is much more soothing and different from the well developed city spa, due to the natural surroundings and environment. The visitors can unwind at the spa, enjoy the relaxing massages under the palm trees, and undergo sea stone therapies to release all the stress. This way the beach vacation not only helps de-stressing the mind but also the body.

Relaxing Activities:

There are no big shopping malls, amusement parks, stadiums or major sights visits in a tropical vacation. The activities in a tropical vacation are also very different. The visitors do not indulge in noisy sports. They usually play board games, fishing, swimming, biking, boating, making castles on the sand, reading etc.

The islands usually have wooden cabins that absorb all the noise and provide a natural shade. The visitors can enjoy different indoor activities and games that further add to the peaceful atmosphere. The relaxing and refreshing early morning hikes and walks in the trees is yet another feature that is offered by the tropical locations only.

Minimum Travel and Bookings:

A normal vacation involves making lots of phone calls, catching planes, boarding trains, renting cars, handling extra luggage, finding the right mall or major sight etc. While on a tropical vacation, one does not need to travel a lot. All one has to do, at inclusive resorts, is enjoy the massages, facials, early morning outdoor yoga classes, hikes around the island etc.

Clean and Fresh Environment:

The surroundings for tropical vacations are away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Looking at the blue-green water and sparkling sand or walking on the soft surface of sand is something that one can enjoy only during tropical vacations. The clear, clean and fresh environment brings a feeling of relaxation and peace.

My Favorite Vacation

Hi Friends,

I would like to tell you about my favorite vacation I ever took in Switzerland. This was back in um….2000…and…I think about 2001. I was 11 years old then. My, how the time has gone by. …anyway, Switzerland was marvelous. The mountains, the horses, the people, and the food…OMG, the SWISS CHOCOLATE. It was quit the vacay! I think the aspect I most remember is how friendly the people were.

So, my mom, sister, second cousin, and I went. We had a grand time. We rode a train in the Alps… It was during the summer, so it wasn’t terribly cold… We pet beautiful Swiss horses, We even attended a funeral. It was in Swiss, we all thought that we were just attending a general mass… It hit us when were recognized the meditative pattern of the Hail Mary, Our Father, Glory Be, and etc. AND THE DEAD BODY …I think the Lord was just happy that we came to see him. Plus, it was good to support the family, even though they were strangers to us. Oh well, we are all God’s children.

Making the Most of Your Tropical Vacation

One of the best ways to escape from it all is to book yourself and your companions a tropical vacation. There is nothing quite like spending a long weekend, or even longer, relaxing on a sandy beach. The best part about vacationing in a sunny tropical location is there are so many things to do and enjoy.

Things to do on a Tropical Vacation

One of the first things that people think of when planning a trip to destinations such as Rio de Janeiro, the Caribbean, and Cabo San Lucas is the beaches. Typically it is the beaches that attract tourists to these destinations. There is much more to do than just sit and relax on the sandy beaches and go swimming. Here are just a few other things that you and your traveling companions can do while on a tropical getaway.

– Surfing – This is one activity that is perfect when the surf is at its best. If you cannot handle surfing, body boarding is a great alternative for those that do not want to swim.

– Snorkeling – A great activity when you want to be in the water but do not want to worry about getting a certification or diving too deep into the water.

– Scuba diving – For the more adventurous at heart, scuba diving is a great activity. Divers get the opportunity to see things those sitting on land, in boats, or just swimming cannot enjoy. Having a certification and the correct equipment is important if you and your companions want to enjoy this water sport.

– Boating – this is an excellent activity if you want to be out and the water enjoying the views.

– Whale watching – This is possible from the coast in some locations, otherwise there are whale watching boat trips that venture out into the ocean.

– Fishing – When you are not in the water sometimes catching fresh fish is a great way to spend part of your vacation in a sunny local. Be sure to check with local rules and regulations prior to setting out to get the catch of the day.

– Swimming with dolphins – This is not an activity that can be done everywhere, but when possible this is a lifetime experience everyone should try once.

– Land activities – Volleyball, Frisbee, sun tanning, picnics

Vacationing in a sunny location is great because of the countless activities you can enjoy. The above are just a few of the things to do that will help you make the most of your tropical vacation.

Tropical vacations are a great way to unwind from life. Make sure to participate in activities like swimming, scuba diving or snorkeling to make the most of your trip.

Top 4 Island Getaways

Bali
Bali is the quintessential island paradise. In fact there can be few islands more routinely referred to in such terms and it won’t take visitors long to work out why – beautiful beaches, all the surfing and diving opportunities you could possibly hope for, friendly locals and a relatively unspoiled Balinese culture that adds to the picturesque and at times almost spiritual atmosphere of this stunning island.

Galapagos Islands
Famous, of course, as the island that inspired Darwin’s theory of evolution, the Galapagos Archipelago maintains an almost magical aura of primordial intrigue, this may not be an island paradise in the conventional, cliched sense but a visit to the Galapagos Islands will almost certainly stay with you.

The natural wonder and utterly unique personality of these hugely significant islands off the coast of Ecuador extends a strange sort of magnetism and a visit to what remains a treasured and thoroughly protected natural environment guarantees a truly memorable experience.

Necker
You may already know Necker as Richard Branson’s famously exclusive island retreat in the British Virgin Islands and there’s no doubt that if you’ve got a few quid to spare (apparently about $46,000/day to rent the island) and a craving for idyllic beaches and palatial accommodation Necker ticks all the boxes. Inevitably Necker is likely to remain the exclusive preserve of the rich and famous but we can all dream.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Another rather exclusive haven for wealthy holidaymakers this group of islands in the Caribbean is a tropical paradise complete with perfect clear blue waters, expanses of dazzling white sandy beach and a comprehensive array of activities to keep you entertained. The islands may have been developed to cater for the luxurious demands of discerning holidaymakers but largely remain relatively unscathed by tourism; the natural splendor of lush mountainous landscapes and tranquil beaches make these islands, known with some justification as the “Land of the Blessed”, a perfect tropical getaway.

Escape to Tropical Getaways in High Definition

Winter has arrived in most regions and it is here to stay for the season. While the excitement of the holidays masks cold weather blues, the beginning of the year almost always brings freezing temperatures. If you want to keep your home connected to warmer climates, the Travel Channel offers high definition images that will make you feel like the tropical heat is near. You might even be inspired to plan a trip to one of the featured destinations you see on the screen.

One of the best shows for trip planning advice is ‘Samantha Brown’s Great Weekends.’ Each episode features a specific spot around the country with useful tips about where to stay, what to do, when to go, and how to budget accordingly. Because short, two or three-day journeys are almost always put in the spotlight, Samantha Brown’s advice might actually give you the information you need to plan an escape from the winter weather after the holiday season wraps up.

Traveling involves experiencing life in another part of the world. While the sights and thrills are definitely important, the cuisine is also an essential aspect to any trip because traditions still vary substantially from one place to another. If you are intrigued by culinary differences, one of the best satellite TV shows to check out is ‘Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations.’ In each episode, the host of the series – famous chef – visits a new place. Sometimes all the action unfolds in a single city, while others times there are multiple stops in one country.

Following along the idea of adventures in eating, ‘Food Wars’ is another HD Travel Channel special. Every show centers around one dish as two top restaurants in the city or region are selected to compete. In general, the creators try to find symbolic dishes such as in the first episode, which featured a ‘Buffalo Wing War’ that took place in Buffalo, New York. While you might not make it to tropical landscapes, the excitement of the competition is sure to chase away the doldrums of cold winter weather.

If you want to go in an entirely different direction via your satellite TV experience, ‘Ghost Adventures’ offers a look into the unexplained. Aaron Goodwin, Nick Groff, and Zak Bagans are the ghost hunters who host the series, leading viewers into cases where locations are suspected of being haunted. Even skeptics might be thrown for a loop by the spooky and unexpected things that happen out of the blue.

When the cold weather starts getting you down, it is nice to remember that you can always find an escape to a warmer place right from the comfort of your living room. And, if you are worried about snowy conditions causing traffic delays, you can set up a DVR receiver to record every second of your favorite shows. It has become possible to record not only standard, but also high definition signals, so that you can enjoy the best viewing experience whenever you have space in your schedule this season.

Check out http://www.bestchoicetv.com/deals.html for details on getting the Travel Channel and many others. With a DIRECTV HD DVR receiver, you no longer need to plan around the evening line-up.

Three Ideal Islands For a Quiet, Tropical Getaway

If you’re looking to get away from it all, consider a tropical island getaway. Although there are hundreds of islands to choose from, these three will provide you with a luxury beachfront vacation and are ideal if you’re looking to disconnect and unwind from a busy life.

Motu Akitua Island

The island of Motu Akitua, located in the Cook Islands group in the Pacific Ocean is one island known for its remoteness. Visitors to the island can only arrive by ferry, from the island of Aitutaki. The island’s resort is exclusive, yet affordable with just four bungalows and one villa available to visitors. Rates start at $210 a night during the off season.

Because the resort is so small, it’s not unusual for visitors to have the entire lagoon to themselves. This makes the island the ideal spot for private, intimate weddings, small family reunions or a girls’ only weekend. The island isn’t far from Australia and New Zealand and is a 15 hour plane ride from Los Angeles. If you do come to the island of Motu Akitua, leave the BlackBerry at home – mobile phone service on the island is spotty at best.

Tutor Saliba Island

Located not far from the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean is the island of Tutor Saliba. The island has just one resort for visitors and can accommodate up to 30 guests. Because of its small size and location, the resort on Tutor Saliba Island books up quickly, so vacationers should make reservations early.

Rates start around $250 for the night, but Tutor Saliba Island’s resort is all-inclusive, including food and alcoholic beverages. Children are allowed at the resort, but the Tutor Saliba Island isn’t known for being child friendly so this vacation may be best left to the adults.

Besides lounging on the beach, the resort on this island offers full spa services, windsurfing, snorkeling and scuba diving. If you’re new to water sports, the resort offers beginner’s lessons.

Pulau Manukan

The island’s Pulau gained popularity a few years ago since the television show Survivor used it as a backdrop for its popular series. Most people don’t realize that Pulau is actually a chain of islands located not far from Malaysia and not just one single island.

The second largest of the islands, Pulau Manukan, offers visitors a good mixture of modern amenities and isolated beaches. The main resort offers 20 guest chalets and a clubhouse, restaurant, swimming pool and tennis courts. The island’s beaches are known for its white sand and crystal clear water, perfect for swimming, snorkeling or just relaxing on the beach.

These three islands are just some of the islands available for a tropical, relaxing vacation. Whether you’re planning an adventurous vacation spent snorkeling, scuba diving or windsurfing, or just want to relax on the white sandy beaches, the islands of Motu Akitua, Tutor Saliba or Pulau Manukan might just be the place.

Packing Travel Tips For the World Traveler

One of the worst problems that a world traveler can experience is to arrive at your destination only to find that you are missing several key items that you need for your trip. To avoid these problems you should consider these packing travel tips for the person that travels around the globe.

You need to ensure you have your passport and other travel documents with you. Keep a copy of these records in case something happens to your originals. Pack a first aid kit to ensure that you do not have to deal with unexpected problems. Do not carry all your credit cards, debit cards, traveler checks, or cash in one location. Divide it up in case something happens.

Make sure you pack enough clothes to allow for at least two changes of clothing for each day. You do not have to pack a great deal of clothes, but you should make plans to pick items that can be worn with different outfits to give you extra choices. Accessories such as scarves, sweaters, or jackets can provide you with more options. When choosing your clothes, try to pick wrinkle-free clothes to avoid having to worry about ironing the clothes each day. Choosing darker colors can help you to avoid showing dirt and stains if they should happen.

Learn what the weather is expected to be like when you make plans to visit a certain area or country. This will allow you to pack the right clothes to cover your needs. You can always pack a couple of extra outfits that can deal with unusual or unexpected weather. One of the most important travel tips is to pack good comfortable shoes that you will be able to walk in. Create a travel checklist to make sure you have everything you need. Plan for the unexpected and you will be able to enjoy your trip no matter where you choose to go.

Dreams, Premonitions and Time Travel

According to its definition, a premonition is a foretelling of the future. Dreams are often premonitions of the subconscious. But what is the scientific basis of premonition? Seeing the future before it happens in your own current reality is time travel. Einstein’s well accepted relativity physics states that time travel is possible, when one object is traveling faster than another object, especially as one object approaches the speed of light, relative to the other.

The earth and all of its inhabitants are traveling near the speed of light relative to a number of other objects in the universe. So let’s explore the Twin Paradox theory of Time Travel and its relationship to dreams and premonitions. Einstein concluded that if there were two twins born on earth, and one of them boarded a space craft, traveled a round trip near the speed of light relative to his twin and returned to earth, his twin would be long dead. Scientists that examine sub-atomic particles confirm the factual nature of the Twin Paradox over and over again as they accelerate particles in large accelerators such as the CERN laboratory.

So based on this assumption, it is not a stretch to conclude that the twin that returns to earth after his travels, could examine the history books or a diary of his dead twin and see the entire life in a moment, relative to a short year or two that had passed on his own journey.

If you understand the nature of vibration in the body, especially relative to eastern chakras, you will begin to understand the nature of time travel in your own body. When your spirit resonates with your 7th and 8th chakras, you are removed from the limitations of your own earthly vessel and can travel near the speed of light, relative to your partner that is lying in bed next to you. This is what allows you, in a state of dreams or meditation, to witness the future before it happens.

Consider for a moment that you are a photon of light, traveling from the sun. According to Einstein’s equations, you are traveling at the speed of light, so that you see the complete history of the universe, from beginning to end, in a single moment. This means that the time experienced in the universe from the moment of the big bang to now, around 14 billion years, can be viewed by the light, from beginning to end, in a moment. Cosmic Background Radiation can be thought of as a premonition of the future of the universe.

Because of the unique characteristics of relativity physics, it does not take a leap of understanding to conclude that although the twin that traveled away from the earth is only one or two years older, a much longer time has passed for his long dead twin, and he arrives back to earth to witness “the future” of his twin.

Everything in the universe is traveling near the speed of light, relative to something else in the universe. So it is easy to conclude that our future has already happened, relative to some other observer in the universe, and our dreams and premonitions are simply the electromagnetic signature of that observable future.

When we dream, meditate or otherwise become free from the bondage of our physical vessel, we time travel. We then have the ability to witness the past and the future, all in a moment. We become like God, which is the light of the universe. In the same fashion, we can consciously shape our futures because there are an infinite number of futures for all of us. Knowing what we want in our lives, especially relative to contributing to the higher vibration of humanity, allows us to shape and mold our future, just as an artist would shape a piece of art.

7 Great Farewell Gift Ideas For Someone Traveling

One of your friends or a family member is about to go traveling around the country or overseas. They could be traveling anywhere between a 3 month adventure or for a few years, on a trip of a lifetime. No matter how long they are going for, you want to give them something special as a gift. This could be very difficult as they usually need to pack relatively light to be more mobile and need to fit as much in their luggage as they can. The fact that travel companies have strict luggage restrictions also must be considered.

Here are 7 great farewell gift ideas that can help in finding that perfect gift for the traveler.

Document Wallet

A document wallet is definitely something they will need. It keeps important travel documents like a passport, travel tickets, itineraries and visa paperwork, all in one place. They will not have trouble finding them when they need them most.

Luggage Set or Backpack

Depending on the type of travel they are doing, a set of luggage or a backpack is an obvious gift. A backpack is suitable for day trips, backpacking trips and extreme adventures, whilst a luggage set suits most other travel destinations.

Camera

A camera would be appreciated as travelers would be taking many photos on their trip to document their memories, and to show their family and friends back home. A good idea is to also include extra batteries and/or memory cards with this gift.

Travel Journal

If the gift recipient enjoys writing, then a travel journal is an ideal item. It allows them to record their thoughts and activities on their trip. There are numerous styles and designs to choose from and you can select one that best suits their personality. To have it personalized with their name would make it even more special.

Lonely Planet Destination Book

With so many sites for each destination, a book listing all the must-see sites and places to eat, stay and shop, is a great gift for the traveler. Lonely Planet is well-known for publishing books for a wide range of global destinations. The traveler can carry it around on their daily site-seeing trips.

Kindle

For travelers who are avid readers, this would be a highly desired item. They cannot bring all their books with them so an item that allows them to search and store their books in one device, is a dream. The Kindle weighs much less than a bag full of books and have more titles than a local library to choose from.

Toiletry Essentials

A perfect gift for those on a budget is toiletry essentials. This can include a toiletry bag full of travel size toiletries such as body wash, shampoo and conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant sunblock, mouthwash and body lotion. As they would have to purchase these items eventually, giving this as a farewell gift, will save them time and the hassle.

These are 7 simple gift ideas you can give to someone who is traveling. They are useful, thoughtful, and ensure that the traveler packs light. If you have ever traveled, you know some of the potential hassles faced. Save them from carrying around heavy luggage, help locate documents easily, and find good places to eat and stay.

Travel: Different Means of Travel!

Nowadays, there are many different means of travelling which include airplane or ships or trains or buses etc. you can choose your medium by keeping in view your interest, your priorities and of course your budget. Lets have some general over view of different means of travelling.

AIR: Air travel is the most recent means of moving from one place to another. Since its first usage, it has become so popular due to its many advantages that it is now the most used mean of travel by people for long routes. It is taken as an expensive choice although there are many air lines that are offering air flights quite cheaply but over all it is an expensive but most quick mean of moving from one place to another.

SEA: Sea is one of the oldest means of travelling. Ships were used for roaming even by Greeks and Egyptians. It remained the main source of travelling for quite a long time but after the invention of aero planes, it has somehow lost its place. Nowadays moving from one place to another by sea is rarely done and even when done it is mostly through large ships which are built for luxurious cruising for the more privileged people. Middle and lower class people can’t really enjoy in those huge and luxurious vessels.

TRAIN: Moving from one city to another by means of train is considered as the most reliable and affordable mean of travelling. Trains now for long have remained a top priority of people for travelling. Travelling by train has all the ingredients that it takes for a perfect travel as it is quick and reliable and cheap mean of travelling.

More over, travelling is a wonderful solution for those who are suffering from monotony, dullness, tediousness in their business. They can experience a great adventure. It is a kind of restarting their minds. They can switch off all the concerns for a while and have a wonderful experience by travelling to any new atmosphere they want to be.

Generally, journeys give great fun and absolute joy to people. It also makes your dreams come true. Travelling is not restricted to certain age group. Anyone can travel, even a small children travels with their parents to another city or even another country. It gives pleasure to everyone. When we travel with our family and friends, it would be a wonderful get together. It gives us the opportunity to renew our love and the relationship apart from our personal works and business. Now days, lot of people prefers spending time on travelling. They want to be relaxed from doing their routine tasks, business and the stressful atmosphere at least for few days. They can give “PAUSE” to their routine work and they opt for travelling. Hence, travelling is a marvelous recreation which takes you to various places from your monotonous tasks.

On the other hand, let us discuss about the disadvantages we have while travelling. Of course, the cost of travelling is quite high. Journey to foreign country is risky and causes many diseases or some times it causes even death. The other disadvantage of travelling is fatigue. Most journeys are long and it would make us tired. There are chances for us to face terrorism, violence or robbery while we travel. We may face problems with food. Food habits and the variety of food vary from people to people and country to country. Hence, it’s our responsibility to arrange things wisely before starting a tour. Generally, you cannot expect the comfort you get from your home while travelling. So, you must take extra precautions while you travel.

On the whole, travelling is a wonderful way of spending time. It gives sweet memories and nice impressions apart from the disadvantages. It provides all together like fun, adventure and the excitement of seeing a new place. In my point of view, all the disadvantages can be curable. Hence, prepare far before you start your tour to a foreign country. I wish you all to have a fabulous journey!!
